About Bad Times

I’m Mads and I’ve been running Bad Times Designs since 2020. I started off as Lil Leafy Shop and had a small collection of polymer clay earrings. I’ll be the first to admit they weren’t great, but they helped to get my creativity flowing. I tried (and failed) many styles and techniques over the years and eventually curated the gothic and alternative catalogue you see today.

In 2022 I found the art of chainmail and taught myself how to weave. Chainmail is a craft that just clicks with me. It has allowed me to express my creative ideas in ways I never could. I've been running this shop as my full time job since July 2022, which has been a struggle at times (especially with the current state of the economy), but I've loved every second. I'm so grateful to be able to make art as my living!

BTD is a safe space for LGBTQI+ and neuodiverse individuals. I myself am an autistic queer woman and have always believed that we should wear whatever we want, regardless of gender, trends or . I don’t cater for a specific demographic, instead I encourage people of all ages, genders and walks of life to wear what they want to wear. If that happens to be my art then I'm super happy!
