Part of the Aegis collection; inspired by medieval wearable armour and architectural fortifications, blending the Battlement collection (past) with the Armament collection (future).
This chainmail necklace is loosely inspired by the namesake medieval neck armour. Also known as "camails", aventails were typically worn as a sheet of maille attached to the helmet, replacing the need for full coifs. Helmets are far less common these days so my interpretation is a standalone piece!
I have been working on this since mid 2025, tweaking and perfecting the design over time. The necklace features a centre seam for symmetry, and a top hem and tapering to force the sheet to hug the neck down to the collarbone. AVENTAIL is 37cm and is designed to be worn flush to the skin. Minor adjustments are possible, i.e. approximately 3cm smaller or larger, however larger adjustments will impact the design. Only one piece is available.
As this necklace is handmade there may be slight variations in appearance. Every effort is made to ensure the pictures are representative of the items, however lighting and screen quality may distort the appearance of the pieces. The exact style of components used in this design may vary based on stock availability.
