GENEVIEVE Pearl Necklace

This necklace is the third creation in a documented series where you get to choose a pearl and suggest a design. The large baroque pearl chosen for this creation is reminiscent of an octopus, so I decided to make a necklace inspired by Ursula from The Little Mermaid. I wanted to make this necklace appear constricting on the throat to emulate a voice being taken away. It took many forms before becoming this final piece, and the small details on this necklace make it sit in the perfect position. The necklace is currently made to a size Extra Small, which is approximately 30cm with a 5cm extender chain. Sizes larger than Extra Small will feature a band on each side of the point. Due to the design of this necklace, it looks best when affixed taught high on the neck like pictured. If affixed looser or lower down it will alter the appearance of the weave. To note, this necklace is not actually constricting to the throat, it just gives this appearance.

As this necklace is handmade there may be slight variations in appearance. Every effort is made to ensure the pictures are representative of the items, however lighting and screen quality may distort the appearance of the pieces. As pearls are natural stones, there may be slight indentations, cavities and/or differences in colour on some stones. The exact style of components used in this design may vary based on stock availability.
