Seconds Pearl & Garnet Necklace

Made with flawed pearls in order to reduce waste.

Over the last few years I have been putting aside pearls that don't quite meet my standards. When you buy strands of pearls, they generally come with a few duds; some have scratches, some have patches of lustre missing, some may be broken and some have 'fish bites' (dents or cavities). As pearls come from living creatures I don't want them to go to waste, so I've put them to use with some garnet beads to make a dainty necklace. Not only can you bag a pearl necklace on the cheap, you're also helping to reduce waste!

This necklace is approximately 41cm with a stainless steel lobster clasp. Adjustments are not possible for this necklace. This necklace is made with flawed supplies. By purchasing from the Seconds Collection you acknowledge that your item(s) will have flaws such those listed above. The flaws do not impede on the item's function and are generally unnoticeable from a distance.

As this necklace are handmade there may be slight variations in appearance. Every effort is made to ensure the pictures are representative of the items, however lighting and screen quality may distort the appearance of the pieces. As these pearls are flawed there will be indentations, cavities, differences in colour and/or lack of lustre on parts.
